Big Dogs Need Clothes Too

Pet Fashion Week, held in NYC August 18th-19th, brings the top doggie-wear designers from around the world in an upscale tradeshow environment to showcase their products. Thousands of buyers come to to see the latest in designer dog fashion and purchase for the upcoming season. Only 15 designers were chosen to be featured on the runway show for select buyers and media personnel. Idawg Clothing is one of the 15 companies that will be featured on the runway for all to see.

Inspired by urban chic, Idawg Clothing company caters its line to the long neglected big dog market. Until now, the words "fashion" and "big dog" were never used in the same sentence. Big dog owners have hunted relentlessly to no avail for clothing that doesn't resemble a horse blank to keep their dog warm and dry.

Idawg offers big dog owners a variety of hip clothing options including street inspired hoodies, sleek rainwear, and bomber jackets. The winter '07 collection has it all; from reversible camo and screen-printed hoodies for a casual day to stylish denim and faux fur bomber jackets to spice it up. Idawg has found a way for bigger dogs to have not only street smarts but street looks too.

Joanie Dhillon, the founder of Idawg Clothing in 2007 states, "I began to realize there were many other dog owners like myself who adore their big dog and want them to stay warm while wearing fashionable clothing that suits their bigger personality".

While Idawg's designs are specifically tailored to fit bigger-chested dogs like the Boxer, APBT, Labrador Retriever, and even Great Dane, the smaller sizes will fit larger Pugs and French Bull-dogs.

Combining functional and fashionable outerwear, Idawg is the new solution to your big dog's lackluster wardrobe. Take comfort in knowing your big dog is warm and dry on those cold winter walks while looking sassy and hip.

Idawg offers quality fabrics and detailed construction in its doggie-wear at a reasonable retail price. The colllection ranges in price from $60-$115. All Idawg apparel is manufactured in the USA.
